Our third album coming soon

It’s hard to believe, but here we are—Space Beach is gearing up to release our third album.

Each release we've put out has marked a different chapter of our lives, both as musicians and as people. From the early days of figuring out our sound to pushing into more textured, reflective territory, the evolution has been real. And this new record feels like the most us we’ve ever sounded.

We started writing these songs in quiet moments between shows, in living rooms, basements, and motel rooms. They came together slowly, like sketches we kept adding to. There’s a different energy on this one—more patient, more intentional—but still raw in the ways that matter. We didn’t try to reinvent the wheel. We just wrote what felt true.

Lyrically, this album leans into the in-betweens of life: the spaces between relationships, between clarity and confusion, between feeling like you’re moving forward and feeling completely stuck. There are moments of warmth, grit, loneliness, and light.

We recorded most of it in a converted barn during the dead of winter. Maybe that’s why it sounds the way it does—cold air, creaky floors, and the kind of silence that makes you listen a little harder.

We’ll be sharing more soon: artwork, the release date, and maybe even a song or two ahead of time. But for now, just know this—Space Beach is still here, still weird, and more excited than ever to share what we’ve made.

Thanks for sticking with us.

NOVOCAINE is the third album from Space Beach—a slow-burning dive into numbness, nostalgia, and the quiet noise in between. Written across long drives, cold mornings, and late-night conversations, the album captures what it feels like to drift—between places, between people, between who you were and who you're becoming.

While still rooted in the band’s signature lo-fi, surf-worn sound, NOVOCAINE marks a subtle shift. There’s a touch more clarity in the mix, a stronger pulse in the rhythm section, and a melodic edge that leans slightly toward pop—without losing the rawness or atmosphere that defines Space Beach. It’s evolution, not reinvention.

Tracks like “NOVOCAINE” and “THE LIGHT” still shimmer with tape hiss and distant guitars, but they’re paired with tighter hooks and a more focused emotional core. It’s a record made for the in-between moments: after the high, before the crash, when everything feels like static and silence.

NOVOCAINE isn’t about escape. It’s about learning to sit with the stillness, and what you find when the feeling fades.

Shows

We don’t have any live shows scheduled at the moment.

Right now, our focus is on writing, recording, and shaping what Space Beach is becoming. The energy that goes into performing is the same energy we’re pouring into our new music—quiet mornings in strange rooms, long nights spent chasing the right sound, building something that feels true before it ever reaches a stage.

That doesn’t mean we won’t play live again. It just means we’re not in a rush to do it for the sake of it. When we do return to the stage, we want it to matter—to feel like an extension of the world we’ve built in our records, not just a checklist on a tour poster.

Until then, stay tuned. We’ll be somewhere out there, writing in notebooks, layering tracks, making noise in basements and bedrooms. And when the time is right, we’ll meet you in the smoke and static.
